Extensions and alterations to a landmark home 2011-2015

The sympathetic design by Stephen Jones Architects added modern amenities to this historic home.

This initially included double garaging with internal access and guest accommodation above, a grand entry portico and a complete refurbishment of the existing basement area.

In addition to this we completed extensive landscaping work. Structural and aesthetic details such as standing seam lead roofs, Marseilles roof tiles and pebble dash plaster render made it difficult to distinguish between the existing and new structures.

Over 2014/2015 we completed the 2nd stage of this project. The works consisted of new kitchen and living area, laundry, ground floor bathroom and new pool with associated landscaping.

It was a pleasure to work with the architect and owners and the finished project is a testament to Stephen Jones’ vision.
