This landmark building was constructed with rocks from Mt Victoria and beach sand in the late 19th century
We had the pleasure of doing a complete interior refit on this iconic North Shore building. Although the building appeared to be sound, when we first inspected the property with the architect Stephen Jones, many issues lay in wait to surprise us.
Due to the unusual construction methodology of this building, with all walls being constructed from stacked scoria rocks and plaster, considerable works were required to improve waterproofing and structural integrity.
Once those works were complete we got about reinstating the home back to its former glory. The finished product was something that we were all very proud of.
